Based on a novel by one of my favorite noir authors, Cornell Woolrich,”The Chase” was released in 1946. The dream-like noir film is about a penniless veteran who is haunted by bizarre dreams, and then his life gets even weirder when he gets involved with a bunch of gangsters.
